After ICEY lists English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, each flagged for full audio support as well as text. That is a notable detail for a narrator-driven game: in the ICEY series, the voice is the mechanic, so which languages get recorded audio genuinely affects how the game plays.
The original ICEY released in 2016 with a smaller language footprint, so three fully voiced languages on the sequel is a step up in scope. The current listing does not indicate whether more languages will be added before release.
What the listing also reveals
Alongside languages, the store page includes a set of accessibility and input features worth noting this early:
- Captions available
- Adjustable text size
- Custom volume controls
- Keyboard-only option
- Full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense
- Steam Input API support
For a game in which a narrator talks continuously and instructions are the core loop, captions plus adjustable text size is a more meaningful inclusion than it would be elsewhere.
Caveats
Store listings are edited frequently. A language can be added or removed between now and release, and “full audio support” is our reading of the listing’s own markers rather than a separate press statement. We will update this entry if the list changes, and the source check date above always reflects the last time we verified it.
